ENTERING WILDCAT COUNTRY

The Wildcat Baseball program, (Great Bridge High School, Chesapeake, Va) competes in the Southeastern District locally and at the 4A level within the VHSL.   While the area is nationally known for the never-ending college and professional talent it produces, the Wildcats were the first team in the history of Chesapeake to win a baseball State Championship, 2003.  The program also went on to win a second baseball State Championship in 2011.  In addition, the Wildcats Baseball program has had state tournament appearances in ’97, ’98, ’00, ’03,’13, ’17, ’19.  Included in those teams who made state appearance were: five Regional Championships (’97, ’00, ’03, ’04, ’11), one State Semifinalist team (’19) and one State Finalist team (’13).
